I believe that solar-geoengineering is being sold as the only way to prevent/mitigate overshoot when we haven’t fully explored what is possible through drastic changes to the global economy and alterations of lifestyles and aspirations. These changes will have huge cost to many people, but so too will solar-geoengineering: we are better able to manage and mitigate economic interventions than solar-geoengineering interventions.
