The possible unintended consequences of international use of solar geoengineering far outweigh the indeterminable benefits. As the climate crisis worsens and the world looks to find and implement solutions, there is a need to underscore the principles of climate ethics. More importantly, high-risk measures that perpetuate climate colonialism and dominance of the Global North in global climate governance should be delegitimized and scrapped.
