Geoengineering technologies, from carbon capture, marine geoengineering to solar radiation management, are false solutions to climate change. These programs distract from the need to phase out fossil fuels at source and build a just transition. Financing for these programs should instead be used to support Indigenous and frontline communities who are targeted by these programs and also have real solutions to climate change.
